Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, also known as Mawlid or Eid-e-Milad, is an important Islamic holiday that commemorates the birth anniversary of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad.

The Prophet also passed away on that same day, and Muslims worldwide observe the day by reflecting on the Prophet’s teachings and life.

Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi is celebrated on the 12th day of the third month of the Islamic calendar, Rabi’ al-Awwal.

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born in 570 CE in Mecca, and this year, in 2025, it will start from the evening of Wednesday, September 3rd, until Thursday, September 4th.
